Backstory

An extremely low ranking fire demon who got summoned to Earth by inept Spanish cultists. The ritual was botched and as a result she wasn't bound to them and could do whatever she wanted. Seizing this rare opportunity she murdered them all, 'borrowed' one of the bodies for a disguise, then spent the next three hundred years doing numerous things including:

  • Terrorizing Spanish peasants
  • Exploring most of 17th century Europe
  • Being a pirate, then living on her dirty pirate money in the Caribbean
  • Pootling around revolutionary America
  • Convincing rich old men to write her into their will, then waiting for them to die and taking all their stuff
  • Opening a speakeasy
  • Appearing on TV as a quiz show contestant

Since all these things were much more fun and interesting than corrupting mortals or striking deals, which she was supposed to be doing. This has landed her in a great deal of trouble more recently.

Sam lived in Gotham City for thirty years with her child, Azazel Haines, right up until the city fell down. They escaped the chaos and moved to Bludhaven and set up a new home there, until that city exploded. They moved a third time to Star City. Sam left her child temporarily in the care of a trusted babysitter while she rescued some of her possessions. She then got extremely distracted by a glowing woman in a shop, and hasn't left the group since.

Both Azazel and the babysitter are currently missing.
