Mimics

Description

Mimics, as their name implies, have the ability to appear as anything that they have seen.

They are creatures, with no real higher intelligence. They act as the creature/item they are mimicing in order to lure people close enough that they can poison them, putting their pray to sleep. The pray will then be taken back to their nest, where they will be slowly digested over several days.

Society

Mimics congregate in loose social groups, who reproduce through a process of DNA mixing, then mitosis. This produces mimics who's DNA has been selected by the parents as being what they consider to be the best to help them survive the environment. Some have speculated that there are mimic specialists, who have specialised in a single type of pray.
